Miller Place Pre School, Little Leaders Learning offers wonderful programs that are tailored to meet the individual needs of all children in order to help them reach academic success. The center is owned and operated by an experienced N.Y.S. Certified Teacher.

child.By creating a safe and positive learning environment, children are encouraged to ask questions, explore and share their ideas. - The early years lay the foundation for a chords academic journey. Teachers engage the children in age appropriate, hands-on learning activities that promote a child’s cognitive, social and emotional development.
- Our curriculum is designed with structured lesson plans based on daily themes. The lesson plans cover content areas such as math, literacy, science, music, and fine and gross motor skills.

We also offer before care and aftercare for school-age children in the Miller Place School District.

This class promotes learning in a fun, active environment. Children will participate in circle time, art activities, songs and stories. Through hands on learning they will gain foundation of concepts such as shapes, colors, numbers and the alphabet. Through age appropriate activities the two year olds learn to take turns, to share and to make new friends.

This class encourages children to become more independent and self-confident. Children are engaged in activities that help them develop strong social and cognitive skills. The class participates in hands on learning through age appropriate activities. Circle time consists of songs, share and movement. Handwriting skills, shapes, numbers and the alphabet are introduced in preparation for the next level.

This class prepares the preschooler for kindergarten. Through creative and enriching activities, children learn math and literacy concepts. During circle time the class learns to understand the calendar and the days of the week. Letter recognition and learning the various sounds is an important skill to help children to become future readers. Through small group and whole class instruction these future kindergarteners will be ready for their academic journey.

We care for infants as young as 6 weeks, in a warm, nurturing environment. The infants are engaged in daily activities that include sensory play, gross motor skill development, music and tummy time. Upon approaching 18 months, children begin a scheduled daily routine in preparation to transition to the toddler class.
